Where could be better to meet and learn about the traditions, lives and ancestry of the Aboriginal people of Australia than in the heart of its most beautiful desert? On this tour of the red desert students will be immersed in both the landscape and culture of this fascinating, ancient region. From being guided around the world famous Uluru, to looking at differences in contemporary society within Aboriginal communities in the MacDonnell Mountains, it is a truly enlightening journey. They will also gain insight into the lives of the isolated communities of the desert, spending time on a working cattle/camel station, as well as learning about this unique landscape with visits to some of Australia’s most iconic national parks, Kakadu and Litchfield. This tour is an off-grid, boots-on-the-ground experience which will challenge and inspire students and help them see the connections between man and nature.
