French influence can be seen all across Sydney, from its European colonial architecture to the stories which have woven within its past. On this truly immersive four-day tour, students will see Sydney through a different lens, exploring both its French history and modern-day French culture. From the Art Deco buildings of the CBD to a culinary masterclass at the only patisserie in the Southern Hemisphere admitted to the esteemed Relais Desserts group, students will get a mix of hands-on learning and French-guided tours. Even the Sydney Opera House will be brought to life by a French-speaking guide. Specialist cultural workshops at the Alliance Française building are combined with traditional French gastronomy experiences and plenty of history to give students a valuable insight into Australia’s French influences, as well as a solid and practical grounding in the French language.
